From playful animal matchmaking to an exclusive early-morning elephant date, Dublin Zoo is offering two quirky ways to celebrate Valentine’s weekend – one for all visitors, and one just for a limited number of couples (aged 16+).
Together, these two experiences ensure there is something for everyone this Valentine’s weekend – from little kids and big kids to the young and young at heart, whether you’re single or taken, wooing or being wooed!

Wild Hearts Trail
Wild Hearts Trail – A Swipe Right Safari
At the heart of the celebrations is the Wild Hearts Trail, a playful “Swipe Right Safari” inspired by dating app profiles.

Follow a pop-up trail around the Zoo and discover your animal match through charming profiles highlighting the unique traits of species from across the animal kingdom.
It’s a light-hearted way to explore the Zoo whether you’re visiting solo, with friends or as a family.

Valentine’s Package for Two
Tonnes of Love – Valentine’s Package for Two
Pre-book only | €85 per couple | For Couples (16+)
Taking place at 8:30am on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of February, this limited-capacity premium Valentine’s event includes:
- Early access to Dublin Zoo before opening hours
- A private Asian elephant keeper talk – wake up with the elephants!
- A romantic buffet breakfast in the Meerkat Restaurant
- Full-day Zoo entry

Couples will stroll through Kaziranga Forest Trail before enjoying an intimate introduction to the Zoo’s majestic Asian elephants with a member of the animal care team.
Places are strictly limited and must be booked in advance.
