Social Media Competition T&Cs

  1. Dublin Zoo social media competitions are open to residents in the Republic of Ireland aged 16 or over, except employees of Dublin Zoo (the “Promoter”), their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
  2. Entries must be made by engaging with the competition post on Dublin Zoo’s Facebook and Instagram.
  3. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. Incomplete or corrupted entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.
  4. The competition will run from 10am on 26th July 2023 until 11.59pm on 2nd August 2023.
  5. There will be a total of one winner chosen from the posts across Dublin Zoo’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  6. The winner will be selected at random by Dublin Zoo’s Marketing Team.
  7. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter on 11th August 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Dublin Zoo reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  8. No cash or other alternative will be offered and the prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this promotion without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in any case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
  10. The Promoter shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or consequential damage of any nature whether in contract, tort including negligence or otherwise, caused by acceptance of these terms and conditions or in connection with the prize.
  11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive entries and to disqualify any entries of the Promoter, at its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the promotion (including, without limitation, by setting up multiple Instagram or other social media accounts in order to submit multiple entries).
  13. The winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving the prize.
  14. Facebook and Instagram does not promote, guarantee or administrate in any manner these promotions, and it is not linked to the promotion, the information the entrant provides is for the Promoter only.
  15. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for, the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
