SESE Curriculum
Designed to tie in with the SESE curriculum, our unique sessions give students from junior infants to sixth class a greater appreciation for native and worldwide wildlife. Focusing on interactive, inquiry-based learning, teachers can choose from a range of specially designed SFI Curious Minds accredited programmes.

Rainforest Ranger
Discover the Bornean orangutans in their forest habitat and visit the animals of the warm South American rainforest at Dublin Zoo! Students will be taken on an interactive journey to discover conservation practices in Dublin Zoo and across the world. We aim to teach students about the value of endangered species by looking at adaptations, food chains and rainforest habitats.
Dinosaur Detectives
Students visit Zoorassic World where they meet Stan, our full size t-rex skeleton and learn about his many living relatives on earth today. In small teams of palaeontologists, students have to work together to uncover the fossils of some fearsome dinosaurs. The programme takes place indoors.
African Adventure
Come and explore Africa in the centre of Dublin. The outdoor module takes students on a journey of discovery on the African Plains. Our habitats replicate natural environments, allowing our animals to live as they would in the wild. Discover how predators seek out their prey, how zoologists are still making some monumental discoveries and what threats some of these amazing species face in the wild. Topics covered include: African habitats, climate change, animal adaptations, feeding strategies and human impact.
