Grey wolves, snow leopards and Avian Influenza 2021
Snow Leopard and Wolf Habitats Closed
Dublin Zoo is always striving to improve its animal habitats, as well as the experience for our visitors. We are currently working on new and improved habitats for the red pandas and snow leopards which will open in spring. Due to this development work in the West side of the Zoo, the snow leopards, as well as the wolves, cannot be seen at present. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to improve your Zoo.
Avian Influenza 2021
Animal safety and welfare is paramount at Dublin Zoo. Due to some bird-flu outbreaks across the country, Dublin Zoo have followed advice from the Department of Agriculture and moved a number of birds to off-show areas within the Zoo. The birds which cannot be seen at present include the Humboldt penguins, Chilean flamingos, waldrapp ibis, ostrich, little egret, peafowl, citron-crested cockatoo and Indian runner duck.
This measure has been taken to ensure the well-being and safety of birds at Dublin Zoo.
