Conservation Lecture Series | Rescue and Rehabilitating Ireland’s Bat
Special Events
Thu, 26th October - Fri, 20th September
6:30 pm
Suitable for Adults and children aged 12 years and over
Free, but pre-booking is required.
Susan Kerwin, founder of Bat Rehabilitation Ireland, joins us for the next event in our Conservation Lecture Series. A licenced wildlife rehabilitator, Susan will take visitors through her journey to bat rehabilitation and discuss the work and mission of Bat Rehabilitation Ireland, a registered charity which she founded in 2019.
Bat Rehabilitation Ireland is Ireland’s largest bat rescue facility. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release all species of native Irish bats, whilst promoting bat conservation through education and scientific research. Based in Bruree, Co Limerick, Bat Rehabilitation Ireland has cared for almost 1500 bats since opening in 2019. This year Dublin Zoo was incredibly honoured to welcome Bat Rehabilitation Ireland as a new Conservation Partner, and we invite you to join us and learn all about what it takes to rescue, rehabilitate and release Ireland’s bats.
