Teachers' Course

Dublin Zoo’s DES approved week-long summer in-service course for teachers is currently available to book. The ever-popular course aims to provide participants with active engagement in teaching and learning using Dublin Zoo as a living classroom. It provide participants with the skills, knowledge and tools to teach the Social, Environmental and Science Education (SESE) in their primary schools. Once equipped with these skills our goal is that teachers enable the students to live as an informed and caring member of local and wider communities.

Topics will be delivered by expert facilitators in our new Discovery and Learning Centre and from our immersive living classroom, the grounds of Dublin Zoo. Teachers participating will have exclusive access to our state-of-the-art teaching spaces as well as the opportunity to explore the zoo after the daily programme.

1st to 5thJuly - 5 days (20 hours)

The course will run from 10 am – 2:45 pm each day

Successful completion of the course entitles participant to three EPV days


€90 per person
