Africa Celebration at Dublin Zoo
Join us on Saturday, August 29th for a special Africa Celebration, following our sold-out Run for Wildlife taking place earlier that morning. On Saturday, the 29th of August, Dublin Zoo will open to visitors from 11am, once Run for Wildlife has finished, and all visitors are invited to join us for the Africa Celebration.
This year, Run for Wildlife proudly supports Save the Rhino International, helping to fund vital work to protect endangered rhinos in the wild. The Africa Celebration continues that journey by celebrating the special places, rich cultures and vibrant communities across Africa that are part of the story of these spectacular species.
From 11am, visitors to the Zoo can enjoy a fun-filled programme celebrating the richness and diversity of African culture through music, dance, storytelling and hands-on activities – all included with standard Zoo admission.
Suitable for all ages, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
- Live music and dance performances 🎶
- Interactive visual displays 🎭
- Traditional storytelling 📖
- Hands-on drumming workshops 🪘
- And plenty more throughout the afternoon! 🎊
Included with your Zoo ticket, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a vibrant celebration!
