Step into The Wild Kaleidoscope at Dublin Zoo this winter!
From November 6th, 2025, Wild Lights returns to Dublin Zoo with its most dazzling theme yet. Step into The Wild Kaleidoscope at Dublin Zoo this winter to explore 13 kaleidoscopic zones bursting with vibrant colour. Join us in celebrating the power of colour in the wild – survival, communication, attraction, and defence.
Admire elegant flamingos and shimmering peacocks and spot the playful penguins and enchanting red pandas. Marvel at radiant lanterns, including the largest EVER lantern featured at Wild Lights (and one of the biggest in Europe).
Whether it’s your first time or a family tradition, experience a night-time spectacular brimming with wonder, magic, and surprises at every step. Like the turning glass of a kaleidoscope, no two visits will ever be the same.

New to Wild Lights
✨The Winter Glow Food & Beverage Village✨
Fuel your journey through Wild Lights at the brand-new Winter Glow Village, a festive food market brimming with seasonal delights. A first for Wild Lights, it’s the perfect place to snack on freshly baked pizza, warm up with a steaming mulled wine, or enjoy golden crêpes and fluffy waffles under the stars, surrounded by a glowing backdrop of enchanting lanterns.
A Truly Immersive Experience
To make the festival even more special, Dublin Zoo has introduced new photo opportunities to capture memories that last a lifetime. Visitors will also learn incredible facts about the animals featured in The Wild Kaleidoscope. As you move through each zone, you’ll discover the wonders of colour in nature – from why flamingos are pink to how stripes, spots or camouflage can be vital survival tools.
Spectacular Grand Finale
This year’s dazzling event will culminate with the tallest lantern ever featured at Wild Lights, and one of the largest of its kind in Europe. A breath taking finale, it will be the glowing highlight of an unforgettable evening.

🎅 Sensory-Friendly Santa’s Grotto
Every Saturday & Sunday morning from the 22nd of November, Santa’s Grotto will open for quieter sensory-friendly sessions with a calmer atmosphere. Enjoy a magical morning at Dublin Zoo with a gentler, music-free grotto experience. With reduced noise, thoughtful lighting, and smaller groups, every visitor to Santa during these hours can meet Santa in a calm, welcoming environment – and take home a festive gift. Book Here
