Annual Passes

An annual pass can be purchased online through the Dublin Zoo website. You can also purchase an annual pass at the Dublin Zoo entrance.  

If buying online you will receive an email containing your pass details.  

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Dublin Zoo is moving away from physical annual pass cards to a digital-only version. Your digital annual pass will be sent by email and will contain a QR code that can be scanned for entry. You can also store the digital annual pass in your Apple or Google Wallet.  

Yes! You can purchase an annual pass gift voucher for someone and they can use that as payment for their annual pass. The gift voucher can be used online or at the entry gate.

Top tip: the voucher will be emailed to the recipient as soon as payment is complete. If it’s supposed to be a surprise but you want to make the purchase in advance, you can enter your own email address in the recipient section and then forward the voucher to them when you’re ready.

Online: simply select the annual pass that corresponds to your gift voucher, e.g. if you have a voucher for a family annual pass, then select a family annual pass, and you can enter your gift voucher details at checkout.

In-person: you can purchase the annual pass at the entry gate, simply show your digital gift voucher to a staff member when asked for payment.

Absolutely! If you are visiting on a standard day entry ticket, you can unlock unbeatable value by using that ticket directly towards an annual pass. We will simply deduct what you paid today (up to a maximum of €84 off a Family Pass or €53 off an Individual Pass) from the cost of your new annual pass, giving you a full year of unlimited adventures for less. 

To secure these savings, just present your day ticket or booking reference to our team at the gate before you leave the Zoo on the day of your visit. They will calculate your immediate credit (up to €84 off a Family Pass or €53 off an Individual Pass) and look after the upgrade on the spot. 

Please note: Upgrades must be processed in-person at the gate on the day of your visit prior to leaving the Zoo. 

As an annual pass holder to Dublin Zoo, you get FREE entry to Dublin Zoo for a year, as well as exciting benefits including 15% off in our gift shop, discounts off our seasonal events including the spectacular Wild Lights and FREE entry to Fota Wildlife Park.

Your Dublin Zoo annual pass will be valid from the day of purchase for one calendar year. 

Yes. To ensure an annual pass is not misused, all accounts must have a photograph attached for the main and secondary passholders. A photo will be taken by a staff member when you first use your annual pass for entry. It may be necessary for ID checks to be performed from time to time, so we always advise annual pass holders to bring another form of photo ID when visiting.  

Please note that only a person named as a passholder may add their image to the annual pass account.

If you visit Dublin Zoo and decide you would like to buy an annual pass you can use the receipt from your day entry ticket or the booking reference from your online day ticket to upgrade to an annual pass. We will simply deduct what you paid today (up to a maximum of €84 off a Family Pass or €53 off an Individual Pass) from the cost of your new annual pass, giving you a full year of unlimited adventures for less. 

This must be done on the day of your visit and must be done before last entry admission time (i.e. 1 hour before Zoo Closes). 

Receipts are only valid for the date of purchase and visit and cannot be extended. Online tickets must be booked under one of the named adults on the annual pass. 

A maximum of 1 visit receipt can be used against the cost of an Annual Pass, multiple receipts will not be accepted. 

The maximum receipt cost that can be offset against the Family Annual Pass is €84 and the maximum off an Individual Pass is €53. 

This offer must be applied at point of sale – discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. 

The upgrade amount excludes any voluntary donation paid on admission. 

Only standard day entry tickets can be used to upgrade to an Annual Pass. Event tickets cannot be used (i.e. Santa, Birthday Party, Wild Lights, Hotel Tickets).
