Fake Social Media Competitions & Giveaways
Dublin Zoo has been made aware of fraudulent scam promotions circulating online, including campaigns advertising “free school kits” and free Dublin Zoo tickets.

Immediate Action: If you have entered your payment or card details through an unfamiliar link or competition, contact your bank to freeze or cancel your card immediately. Resources available from CCPC here to stay vigilant regarding scams: www.ccpc.ie

No Fees for Competitions: Dublin Zoo will never ask for credit card, debit card, or bank details to enter a competition or claim a giveaway prize.

Verified Channels Only: Dublin Zoo-approved giveaways and offers are strictly advertised via our official accounts (@dublinzoo) and our sustainability partner (@sseairtricity), unless otherwise officially announced by Dublin Zoo.
Fake Website & Ticketing Platform Alert
We have also identified a sophisticated fraudulent scam website operating under the address www.dublinzoo.net (including pages such as www.dublinzoo.net/book-tickets/).
This fraudulent .net site is designed to mimic our official branding and runs a fake ticketing system to unlawfully take customer payment details.

Steps If You Have Shared Card Details

Call Your Bank / Card Issuer: Notify their emergency fraud team immediately to block unauthorised charges and reissue your card.
