To ensure your smooth entry, please check our daily opening and closing times here before visiting. Our hours are subject to change and adjusted throughout the year to reflect seasonal changes, events and daylight hours.
Please check in on site signage when you visit for individual outlet opening times.
Tip: Final entry to the Zoo is always one hour before the stated closing time.

- African Plains closes at 4.30pm
- Last admission is 4pm
Please Note
- Day Entry: we ask all customers who have pre-booked tickets to arrive as close to their time slot as possible to avoid long queues and car park overcrowding. However, if you are early or late for your time slot due to traffic, an important appointment, personal circumstance, etc you will not be refused entry once you arrive before the last entry time (as outlined in the schedule).
- Visitors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times and teenagers may be required to show ID.
- Occasionally, due to circumstances outside of our control, Dublin Zoo may be forced to close to the public, e.g. extreme weather conditions, state occasions. This is to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and animals.
