FEBRUARY: OPEN DAILY FROM 9.30am – 5pm

African Plains closes at 4.30pm. Last admission is 4pm.

* Occasionally, due to circumstances outside of our control, Dublin Zoo may be forced to close to the public, e.g. extreme weather conditions, state occasions. This is to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and animals.

Yearly schedule Yearly schedule

1. The South American House is currently closed to the public. As renovation work begins on The South American House, please be advised there will be an increase in noise and the presence of heavy machinery around the area. As renovations progress access to the picnic benches usually located on the Gecko Plaza (between The South American House and the side of Zoorassic World) will be restricted. Visitors are welcome to use nearby picnic benches beside the Farmhouse and the entrance to Zoorassic World instead.

2. The Flamingo Habitat will be closed to customers until further notice. We apologise for any disappointment caused.

3. Cottage Orné, located to the right of the Dublin Zoo entrance and in front of the disabled parking spaces, is currently undergoing restoration works. Please be advised there will be an increase in construction noise and activity around the area.

4. From February 23rd our souvenir shop will be closed for an exciting refurbishment. We estimate this will take one to two weeks and will update this page when we have a more accurate timescale.

It was truly amazing and magical. The enclosures were built well and appropriate for the animals, and were built in innovate ways. They animals are incredibly well taken care of, proper enclosures, food, daily enrichment. The zoo is built around the animals, not the people.

Jamie

This was my 2nd visit to the Dublin Zoo. Lots of great things for kids if you have them. The animals are obviously well cared for and the lush surroundings are a pleasure to walk around in.

Scott

Spent the morning at Zoo after hopping off the hop on hop off bus. Warmly welcomed by the staff as we entered with clear explanations on how to get around the zoo. This zoo is extremely clean and well maintained.
The animals have good space and enclosures. You can see the animals close up, when they felt like it, and staff were constantly going around checking for any litter.
