Parking
Due to our location within the Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo has no customer car park. We encourage all visitors to plan their journey ahead of time, including where to park, and below is some advice for local options:
- A small number of disabled parking spaces are located outside the Dublin Zoo entrance and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Lord’s Walk car park: located a two-minute walk from Dublin Zoo with capacity for 260 cars, including disabled parking spaces.
- Cricket Grounds car park: located opposite Dublin Zoo with capacity for 120 cars.
- North Road: spaces are available along the length of this road, ranging from a 3 minute walk to a 15 minute walk to the Zoo entrance.
- There are also a number of car parks located in the city centre with nearby transport links to Dublin Zoo.
There are additional parking spots surrounding Dublin Zoo, which are indicated on this corresponding map with blue markers.
If you’re driving from the M50, we suggest using the on-street parking along the North Road. Please enter the Phoenix Park through Ashtown Gate and take an immediate left turn onto North Road. If you enter the Park through Castleknock Gate, turn left at the first roundabout. The on-street parking commences immediately after Cabra Gate and goes all the way to the Zoo’s main entrance. Please note that this stretch of the North Road is a one-way system, so you cannot turn back. It is thus advisable to park at the end of the queue, rather than looking for a space closer to the Zoo gate.
Please visit the OPW’s website for further information on parking within the Phoenix Park.
Please be aware of the North Road pilot one-way scheme. Details are indicated on this corresponding map.
