As a precautionary measure in response to the outbreak of avian flu in a number of countries in mainland Europe, the birds at Dublin Zoo are currently not on viewThere are outbreaks of bird flu in north western Europe including the United KingdomBird flu is a viral infection that spreads from bird to bird.

[Update 26/04/2017] 

Over the coming days the animal care team at Dublin Zoo will begin to move birds back into their outdoor habitats so they will be on view to visitors.

 This process will take a number of days and we ask for visitors patience at this time. 

Bird flu has arrived in Ireland

Bird flu is a viral infection that spreads from bird to bird. All birds at Dublin Zoo have been moved indoors and are off view as a precautionary measure so that they cannot have contact with wild birds.
