We are currently seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic Social Media and Content Creator who loves creating content and is passionate about social media and storytelling.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to bring Dublin Zoo’s digital and social media strategy to life through creative video content, photography, and graphics for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, as well as Dublin Zoo’s website.

Working closely with the Senior Marketing Specialist, the responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Work closely with Senior Marketing Specialist to develop and deliver Dublin Zoo’s social media strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall strategic objectives.
  • Produce creative content for social media channels and Dublin Zoo’s website. This includes video, photography, and graphic design.
  • Day-to-day management of Dublin Zoo’s social media channels. This includes publishing content, monitoring engagement such as comments, mentions, direct messages, reviews and responding in real-time.
  • Write content for social media channels, ensuring it aligns with Dublin Zoo’s tone of voice.
  • Stay up to date on content trends and trending content.
  • Have a deep understanding of Dublin Zoo’s brand values and how to best connect with each community.

The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in multimedia, marketing, communications or relevant field, with experience in video and content production being a strong advantage. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.) desirable.

They must be creatively driven with high attention to detail, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, have the ability to write and edit copy, as well as holding excellent interpersonal, communication skills and good analytic skills. A positive ‘Can Do’ attitude is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to work weekends occasionally to produce social media content on Dublin Zoo’s events and onsite marketing campaign activations.
