IT Specialist

Dublin Zoo is currently seeking to recruit a highly flexible, reliable and proactive IT Specialist to join our team.

They will be responsible for analysing department needs, identifying vulnerabilities and boosting productivity, efficiency and accuracy to best inform business decisions.  They will ensure network components meet Dublin Zoo needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions. They will be responsible for continuously analysing current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.

The successful candidate will possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritise, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants must have 2-5 years experience working in IT with experience or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring, with expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is essential.
