Halloween Spooktacular

The elephants at Dublin Zoo got into the Halloween spirit last Wednesday by taking ghoulish delight in smashing their pumpkin treats! Be sure to come and see them plus all the other animals this Saturday for the Halloween celebrations at Dublin Zoo.
There are a variety of fun activities planned for Saturday 31st October including a ‘creepy’ parade which will begin at the Great Lawn at 12 noon. The parade will finish at the kaziranga forest trail where elephants can be seen enjoying their very own Halloween pumpkins!
For a truly spooky makeover, special face painters will be on hand to transform the kids into their favourite spooky characters. Visitors to the Zoo are encouraged to bring their own carved pumpkins as there will be spot prizes for the best on the day along with lots of music and games for everyone to get involved with!
There will also be a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween market at Dublin Zoo where visitors can pick up some great Halloween treats including, crepes, Halloween cakes, toys and other festive favourites. Special Halloween keeper talks running throughout the day which will include some of the Zoo’s most popular animals along with some other scary creepy crawlies!
Don’t forget to arrive in fancy dress costume to enjoy the whole Halloween experience!
